Melcher-Dallas’ track squads finished the regular season with fourth and fifth-place finishes, respectively in Lamoni Monday.

The Saints’ girls had three top-two finishes from a couple of familiar faces at the top. Grace Overgaard finished first in both the shot put and discus. Haley Godfrey rounded out the top-two finishes for Melcher-Dallas by finishing second in the shot put. Melcher-Dallas finished with 80 total points, placing behind the host, Seymour, and Murray.

The Saints’ boys also had three top-two finishes, including two in team relay events. Ryan Krpan finishes first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:11.09. Melcher-Dallas also placed first in the shuttle hurdle relay and second in the 1600 meter distance medley. The Saints finished with 54 points, placing behind the host, Mormon Trail, Seymour, and Murray.

This was the final meet of the regular season for Melcher-Dallas as they will begin district playoff action Thursday at Madrid. The meet will begin at 4:00 PM.
