The Little Hawkeye Conference tennis and golf tournaments were held Monday.

In Grinnell, the boys tennis team placed 5th with 18 team points. Head Coach Russell Place says the attention now turns to Wednesday’s district tournament.

The Warriors will head to the district tournament Wednesday at West Des Moines Valley.

Norwalk hosted the girls tennis meet, and placed seventh. They’ll host Ottumwa in regionals Saturday.

The boys golf team came back to action and placed third in the meet hosted by Newton. Branden Nicholson shot an 81 to earn all-conference honors. Their abbreviated spring season is complete.

The girls golf team was at Oskaloosa, and placed third, shooting 417. Lauren Davis shot a 101 to earn all-conference honors. They return to action Thursday at an invitational in Pleasant Hill.

The soccer teams wrapped up the day with a pair of non-conference matches at Ames. The girls fell 1-0 in penalty kicks, and will host Dallas Center-Grimes at 7:00 this evening. The boys defeated the Little Cyclones 2-1, and travel to Dallas Center-Grimes for a 7:30 match this evening.
