The Superstar Racing Experience was at the Knoxville Raceway doing a test session Monday night. The SRX will hold a race at the raceway on Saturday June 19th. SRX Co-Founder Ray Evernham told KNIA/KRLS Sports when designing the cars, he wanted them to be versatile enough to run on dirt, and pavement tracks.

Evernham:
“Not only the cars I worked on, but the cars I’ve seen through my career. We tried to get a car that would be OK everywhere, not great at one place, so a lot of ideas went into the design of that car.”

Former NASCAR Driver Ken Schrader, and current Knoxville 410 Sprint Car Champion Brian Brown were testing the cars Monday night at the raceway.
