The Weiler Foundation recently donated $1,000 to the Knoxville Police Department to help with the department’s annual Helmets & Hotdogs event. Foundation President Megan Green says the organization’s mission is to donate to local causes that will help make the community a better place to live.

“The Weiler Foundation is about 15 years old now. We’re primarily interested in helping the communities where our employees live and work, particularly educational pursuits. We do a number of scholarships, those types of things, just trying to support the community that’s given a lot to us. We’re glad that organizations like the Police Department are continuing to do things like this”

This year’s Helmets & Hotdogs is May 28th, the last day of school at Knoxville. Hear more about the Weiler Foundation and this donation on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
