Melcher-Dallas’ track squads will begin district playoff action today as they take a trip northwest to Madrid for their state-qualifying meet.

The Saints are coming off competing in the last regular-season meet at conference foe Lamoni Monday. Melcher-Dallas’ girls finished fourth in the meet, and were led by another school record-breaking performance from Grace Overgaard in the Shot put. The Saints’ boys finished fifth, including a first-place finish from Ryan Krpan in the 800 meter run.

The state-qualifying meet at Madrid will begin with field events at 4:00 PM.
