Twin Cedars will try to put some blue on the Blue Oval when the Sabers head to Madrid for the class 1A track and field State Qualifier tonight. Three running events have the Sabers hopeful for some qualifiers this season. Rylee Dunkin is 2nd right now in the 400, and she is also ranked first in the 800. Cheyenne Bruns is 3rd in the 400 and is ranked 4th in the 400 hurdles. Coach Cam Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Bruns has had a great season so far, and it would be special for her to make state.
The Sabers also have a couple relay events that they hope to send to state. Field events get underway at 4:00 with running events at 4:30.
