Indianola and Norwalk State Track Qualifiers

The Indianola and Norwalk track and field squads had stellar showings at the state qualifying meet at Waukee Thursday, punching their ticket to compete at the Drake Blue Oval next week.

The Indianola boys qualifiers included:
Discus – Walker Whalen, Ben Moffitt
High Jump – Joseph DeWall

200m – Carter Erickson
400m – Logan Grover
110m Hurdles – Mark Pepper
400 Hurdles – Logan Piper

While the Indians girls qualified:

Lauren Blake tells KNIA Sports the Indians had a lot of confidence after winning the Little Hawkeye Conference title last week, and that helped spur on their great performance at the qualifiers.

Norwalk’s boys squad finished in second place in the team race, and saw the girls qualify:
