PCM Boys Advances to District Meet After Finishing First in Davis County
PCM’s boys’ golf squad finished on top of their sectional at Bloomfield Golf Course in Davis County today.
The Mustangs finished with a score of 363, finishing four strokes ahead of second-place Pella Christian. The low golfer for PCM and the whole meet was Andrew Mitchell, who scored an 83, including a 40 on the back nine. Second for the Mustangs in scoring was Gatlin Boell with a 91. Grant Landgrebe and Grant Van Veen scored 94 and 95, respectively. Rounding out the scoring for PCM was Brian Nicholson and Gabe Lanphier, who scored 100 and 102.
With the victory, the Mustangs will travel to Lincoln Valley in State Center for their next meet, which is Thursday at 10:00 AM.
PCM Girls Golf Finish Fourth at Colfax-Mingo
PCM’s girls’ golf squad finished fourth at the Colfax Country Club in their final regular season meet of 2021.
On a rainy and chilly Friday, the Mustangs shot a 284 and were led by Tori Peterson, who shot a 66. Eleigh Davis and Riley Johannes tied for the second-lowest score on PCM, which was a 69. Rounding out the scoring was Deanna McHargue with a score of 80. This meet concludes the Mustangs’ regular season.
Regional Playoff action for PCM begins Monday when they travel to Panorama. The meet will begin at 10:00 AM.
