Led by Breanna Benge and Kristen Roe, Pleasantville’s girls golf squad will advance to the district round of the playoffs next Monday at North Mahaska after finishing first in their home regional meet.
The Trojans finished with a score of 407, finishing more than 70 strokes ahead of second-place Wayne. Benge was the meet medalist with a score of 97. Roe was the meet runner-up with a score of 98. Benge and Roe both finished with scores under 50 on the back nine. Lauren Cook finished with a score of 102, good enough for fourth overall and third for Pleasantville.
The Trojans will be at North Mahaska next week for their district playoff meet.
