The Tulip City soccer night went all green and white as Pella swept the Eagles, with the No. 4 in 2A boys winning 10-0 in a mercy rule finish for senior night and the No. 12 in 2A Lady Dutch winning 3-0 on Eagle Lane.


At Pella High School, Logan Solomon, Isaac Semini, and Austin Bone each scored twice, with Teddy Apostolopoulos, Ike Held, Preston Rowe, and Geordie Laidlaw also scoring. The contest marked the end of the 2021 regular season; Pella is 13-4 and has a first round bye in the 2A substate playoffs, awaiting the winner of Fairfield and Washington next Monday, May 24th. The Eagles finish at 2-12 and travel to Mid-Prairie Thursday in the 1A playoffs.

Over at Pella Christian High School, the Lady Dutch were fueled by freshman Abby Warner, who finished with a hat trick offensively and is up to 18 goals this season. The Lady Dutch are 9-5 and head to Winterset Thursday in non-conference action, while the Eagles girls are on the road for a rematch with No. 8 in 1A Des Moines Christian; the Lions knocked off P.C. in the season opener 4-1.
