Before their showdown Saturday to determine a team state qualifier, the singles players and doubles pairs from Pella and Pella Christian High School competed in the 2021 regional tournament at Caldwell Park Wednesday.
Pella Freshman Emily Blom was the regional champion among singles players, defeating Katy Roose of the Eagles in the finals; both players have qualified for state. The Pella Christian doubles duo of Megan Kramer and Kelly Van Wyk finished as runners-up in their bracket, and will also be heading to the finals on June 2nd and 3rd.
All of those players will come together this Saturday in Knoxville as No. 5 Pella Christian and No. 8 Pella play for the chance to qualify for the team state tournament.
