Indianola Girls Tennis Falls in Individual Regionals

The Indianola girls tennis team competed at Johnston High School in individual regionals Thursday. The Indians got a third place finish from Paige Bily in singles play, while Aubree Freshly fell in the quarterfinals. In doubles action, Anna Jordan and Melina Darrah earned a 4th place finish, while Hannah Price and Hayden Laschanzky fell in the first round. The Indians will next compete in team regionals play tomorrow at Dowling Catholic.

Indianola Boys Soccer Falls to Ames in Postseason Play

The Indianola boys soccer team fell to Ames 2-0 in the first round of district competition Thursday evening. The Indians fell behind 1-0 in the first half, then despite the strong defensive effort the Indians couldn’t put a goal in the back of the net, and gave up another in the second half to the Little Cyclones. The Indians season ends with a record of 2-14, and they will graduate four seniors.
