It was a record setting night that Hollywood could not write a script for on Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway as heard on KNIA. Brian Brown set not only quicktime in the 410s but broke the one-lap track record that many thought would never be broken by running a lap in :14.351 at 125.327mph. The old record was set by Brooke Tatnell back in 2006. Brown went on to dominate the regularly scheduled A-Main and then capped the night by winning last week’s postponed feature from the 6th starting position to sweep double features night. Brown told KNIA/KRLS after his second win, he was able to pull off the winning pass after seeing a chance to get by race leader Ayrton Gennetten.

Brown:
“I stayed up there as long as I could, and I said it’s time to pull the trigger and I almost got by Chris Martin, and Ayrton did a good job making me go where I didn’t want to but it’s good to be in victory lane twice in one night.”

Ryan Giles blew by Scott Bogucki with two laps remaining to get his first win of 2021, and Tyler Groenendyk’s season kept getting better with his second Pro Sprints win.
