The summer sports teams of Iowa are back, and the baseball team from Pella High School comes into 2021 with depth across the diamond and the aim of a deep postseason run by the end of the journey.

Head Coach Jesse Jablonski says a wealth of pitching talent should be the driving force behind how far the team will grow from a 9-and-11 shortened season last summer, with several close losses.

The 2021 season opens tonight for the Pella baseball and softball teams; PCM comes to town on the baseball diamond, while Colfax-Mingo heads to Pella Middle School for softball competition. Pregame coverage of the Dutch vs. Mustangs baseball game begins at 6:45 this evening on 92.1 KRLS.
