The Knoxville Fire Department responded to the report of a partial building collapse at 510 N Kent Street shortly after 9:30 Monday evening. When crews arrived, they found a portion of the interior ceiling had collapsed, with one person trapped inside. The person was removed, with no report of injuries. Department personnel and city officials will assess the damage to determine stability.

Assisting agencies included the Knoxville Police Department, Marion County Emergency Management, Alliant Energy, MidAmerican Energy, and the Red Cross.
