The PCM softball team dropped their season opener against Grinnell Monday night by a score of 11-1.
Following three scoreless innings, Grinnell broke things wide open, scoring 6 runs in the top of the 4th inning. PCM was able to answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning, but that was all the offense could push across the plate. Grinnell added five runs scattered throughout the final three innings. Pitcher Riley DeVore took the loss in the home opener for the Mustangs.
PCM softball will be back on the softball diamond Wednesday and play host to Nevada at 7:15 p.m.
