The Knoxville School Board approved the hire of Amy Taylor as West Elementary Principal at a special meeting Tuesday. Taylor replaces Ryan Klein, who is departing at the end of the school year. They also approved the hire of Blake McWilliams as a middle school special education teacher and Haili McKeever as a school nurse. They also accepted the resignation of Jennifer Lambirth, a Title 1 reading teacher.

In other business, the board approved an overnight trip request for the high school boys golf team at the state tournament, and approved a high school office remodel proposal.
