The Knoxville School District has hired a new principal for West Elementary School. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says that Amy Taylor will do a great job of replacing Ryan Klein, who is departing at the end of the school year.

“At the same time we’re celebrating his service, we are welcoming Amy Taylor. We had those interviews on Monday, and the board approved that contract Tuesday. She is currently a principal in Ottumwa, and we think she’ll add great value to our team and has wonderful experiences. In June, she’ll be joining us for a little bit of our leadership retreat, and she will get started in July.”
