The Pella baseball team dropped their second road game of the week, falling to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in extra innings Wednesday night 7-6.
Pella issued 12 walks as a pitching staff, giving the Rockets several chances late to win. The Dutch took a 4-3 lead in the 5th and added insurance in the top of the 7th, but the relief staff gave up four runs in the 7th, 8th, and 10th innings, including the walkoff score.
Ryan Mace drove in three runs and stole a base as the DH and Nick DeJong was 2-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
Pella falls to 1-2 and is off until a matchup with Knoxville Friday.
