The Knoxville Boys Golf Squad sits in 6th place after day one of the class 3A State Golf Tournament in Marshalltown. The Panthers shot a 347, which is just eight shots back of fourth place. Evan Smith shot low number for the Panthers carding a 79, which is tied for 9th overall. Carson Uitermarkt shot an 85 and is 22nd, Jace Nichols fired a 91 and is in 37th, Kail Arkema shot a 92 and is in 44th, Beau Leisure had a 94 and is in 53rd, and Mason Hatch had a 119 for 68th place. Pella’s Will Simpson, playing as an individual shot a 78 and is currently tied for 7th after day one. Day two is today at the Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
