The First United Methodist Church in Knoxville is sponsoring school supplies for families in Knoxville. Laura Shepherd with the church tells KNIA/KRLS News that the organization’s mission is to help families in need.

“In the past, we’ve helped over 150 students in the Knoxville community have their school supplies when school starts. It’s helped a lot of families over the years, and it’s helped students be successful. School supplies are expensive, and it’s just our little way of helping students.”

Families can sign up to receive supplies for the 2021-2022 school year by emailing laura.shepherd@kcsd.k12.ia.us by the end of the day today. Pick-up will take place at the Back to School Bash on July 28th at Knoxville High School.
