The Knoxville Softball Squad will try to win its second straight game over a Little Hawkeye Conference opponent tonight when the Panthers host Newton. Knoxville beat Oskaloosa in its home opener on Tuesday in dramatic fashion, coming back from three runs down in the bottom of the 7th inning to steal the win. Knoxville is coming off a 7-3 setback to Davis County on Wednesday night in the South Central Conference opener as the Panthers committed five errors in that game. Newton is 2-1 on the season with wins over Grandview Christian and Marshalltown and most recently a loss to Ankeny Centennial.
