The Red Rock Rivalry is renewing in summer as the baseball teams from Pella and Knoxville lock horns in the Tulip City this evening.

The Dutch are aiming for a bounce back to end the week on a high note after dropping two in a row to Carlisle and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.

Knoxville Coach Turner Devore says his team needs to be sharp in all aspects of the game tonight and moving forward.

“I want to get back to playing Knoxville Baseball, where we’re a bunch of dirtbags and getting dirty and playing tough. Not just physically tough but mentally tough especially if we’re going to get through these first two weeks of the season.”

In the Varsity Bound/Quikstats era, Knoxville leads the series 14-9. First pitch is at 7 p.m., pregame starts at 6:30 on 92.1 KRLS and 95.3 KNIA.
