Both of the Melcher-Dallas boys and girls of summer fell to Moravia on Friday night. The baseball squad had its two game winning string snapped by the MoHawks 11-1. The Saints were unable to get a hit. On the softball diamond, the Saints allowed 11 runs in the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to fall 12-2 on Friday. The Saints were also unable to recover from four costly errors. Kacey Enfield went 2/3 with an RBI while BrieAnna Remster took the loss, fanning eight, but issuing five walks. The baseball Saints fall to 2-2 on the season while the softball Saints are 4-1. Softball will travel to the Southeast Warren Invitational taking on the host Warhawks and Madrid while baseball will have the weekend off and take on Mormon Trail on Tuesday.
