The Pella softball team fell in both games at their home triangular Saturday, losing to No. 6 in Class 3A North Polk 4-0 and Lynnville-Sully 6-5.

In the opener against the Hawks, the Lady Dutch fell behind 3-0 until a four-run fifth gave them a lead. The two schools traded runs until the Hawks scored in the 7th for the difference. In game one, Ava Curry and Kylie Tauke each had a pair of hits, and just two of the six runs given up by Pella pitchers were earned.

Against North Polk, the Lady Dutch only mustered two hits against the ranked Comets. Kiki Riggen gave up three earned runs in six innings.

Pella falls to 1-3 overall and returns to action Wednesday for a doubleheader at Norwalk; hear game two of the Lady Dutch and Warriors on 92.1 KRLS.
