Knoxville’s Amy Sullivan will cap her high school sports career at the class 3A State Girls Golf Meet starting today at River Valley Golf Course in Adel. Sullivan qualified for State last week by placing 4th at the regional in Oskaloosa. Sullivan shot an 87, which was a career low for her, and she tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she wants to improve on that and let where she lands in the standings take care of itself.

Sullivan:
“I shot 87 at regionals and that was a PR for me and I want to shoot that or lower at State. I just want to shoot well and not worry so much about where I place.”

Sullivan qualified for State as a sophomore and has to endure poor weather. Last season she was unable to play at state as the season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
