The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s 30th induction banquet is this Saturday. Executive Director Bob Baker says this induction will be especially meaningful due to the cancellation of last year’s event.
“It means a lot to us because we felt a void last year with COVID and everything going on. We weren’t able to hold our induction banquet as we normally do. This year, there’s going to be a lot of emotion because the new inductees have been waiting for over a year now to be inducted. The past inductees haven’t been here for two years. I know a lot of inductees, their families and friends are planning on being here. It’s a great gathering of racing inductees, and also for race fans to meet these great individuals, ask questions and hear their great stories.”
Tickets cost $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Doors open at 11:00 a.m., the meal begins at noon, and the banquet begins at 1:00 at Dyer Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds.
