The state legislature concluded its session last week, and much of it was spent dealing with pandemic response. State Senator Amy Sinclair says that Iowa was one of the nation’s leaders in the response, citing unemployment numbers and policy making.

“We did a lot of work this year. I didn’t anticipate so much policy being passed, but I was excited to see that it did. We’ve managed to keep Iowa at the top of the heap when it comes to COVID recovery. Our unemployment numbers are down, and I think the solid policies we’ve been passing have made Iowa resilient in the face of adversity. I’m excited to see all of those things happening, and I look forward to coming back next year and continuing the work that folks sent me there to do.”

Sinclair is the chair of the Senate Education Committee, and represents District 14.
