The Norwalk baseball and softball teams resume Little Hawkeye Conference play tonight when they travel to Oskaloosa for single varsity games. The softball team looks to remain hot after a doubleheader sweep of Pella Wednesday against an Indians team whose offense has scored 10 or more runs in three of their last five games. Senior Jayden Lammers says as long as her team focuses on themselves, they’ll be in good shape.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

On the baseball diamond, the Warriors will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season against an Oskaloosa team that while traditionally is strong, has stumbled out to a 2-4 start to the season. Norwalk has solidified itself as a power once again after convincing wins over ranked teams during the season’s first two weeks.

The baseball game will air on KNIA3 with Jon Mohwinkle and Michael Borst calling the action. Pregame coverage begins at 7:15, with the opening pitch from Oskaloosa scheduled for 7:30.

The girls soccer team is also in action, and is one game away from reaching the state tournament. The 14-2 Warriors will host a Winterset team that entered the postseason with a sub-.500 record, but is now 10-9 after wins over Perry and ADM. Kickoff of the Class 2A Region 3 Championship is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
