The Sabers had a successful road trip to Humeston Friday as the baseball team defeated Mormon Trail 10-5 and the softball team cruised to a 13-0 victory.

Twin Cedars baseball team found themselves deadlocked at five going into the final inning of play before the offense broke out with a five-run seventh inning. Dallas Clark slammed the door in the bottom of the seventh on the mound to seal the 10-5 Sabers victory. Top hitter and senior Nathan Smith is out with an injury which Head Coach Mark Schroeder said has forced many players to step up including eighth grader Dallas Smith.

Twin Cedars dominated on the softball diamond as Ali Mockenhaupt threw a one-hit shutout in the three inning win. The offense scored 13 runs on 9 hits. Kenzyn Roberts and Rylee Dunkin had two hits each and three stolen bases. Jetta Sterner drove in 3 runs for the Sabers in the blowout.

Twin Cedars Softball will be heading to McCallsburg this morning for the Colo- Nesco Tournament where they will play Belmond-Klemme at 11 a.m.
