Crossroads of Pella is reflecting on lessons learned from the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Executive Director Jim Hibma says as an organization that aims to help people through a variety of means, it was initially challenging to find ways to keep that assistance up when in-person options were not available. Hibma says from distributing face masks to remote counseling to shopping for seniors, Crossroads of Pella aimed to be a key resource for vulnerable populations, especially when shutdowns were ongoing. Hibma says the return of the Klompen Classic last month marked a return to normalcy, but at the same time, he reminds the public they remain available to help those in need.
