
Melcher-Dallas’ baseball and softball squads picked up wins by knocking off Orient-Macksburg Tuesday night as the both teams won 12-2.
The Saints’ baseball squad scored in every inning they stepped up to the plate, and a 12-hit night catapulted the Saints to victory. Steven Krpan, Ryan Krpan, and Cole Metz all had three hits on the night. Metz had three doubles and three RBIs on the night. Ryan Krpan also picked up the win on the mound, giving up just two runs on three hits.
The Saints’ softball squad got off to an 8-0 start after three innings and never looked back. Haley Godfrey finished two for three with a home run and three RBIs. BrieAnna Remster’s dominance continued as she went two for three with two doubles at the plate and also struck out nine batters in five innings of work.
Both the baseball and softball teams will be in action today as the baseball squad battles with Wayne while the softball squad will be at home against Diagonal. The Saints’ baseball game will begin at 4:00 PM, while the softball game will begin at 6:00 PM.
