The Knoxville Area Ministerial Association and EveryStep will host a Flag Day program Monday at the courthouse bandstand. The event will consist of an opening prayer, presentation of colors, and a historical perspective provided by EveryStep. Association member Brent Hanna says this program is important to attend to honor the history of the flag.

“We invite everyone to come pay tribute to the colors of Old Glory. It’s important to remember that a lot of our soldiers and people have fallen while carrying the American flag, fought battles, and raised the American flag with those battles. It’s an important symbol of our country and our freedoms.”

The program begins Monday at 12:15 p.m. at the courthouse bandstand in Knoxville, and will last 15-20 minutes.
