A group of students training in IT services at Central College over the past two weeks gave presentations Friday at the Vermeer Science Center about their progress. Teri Vos with WorkSmart Connector says final projects were highlighted as part of the program aiming to get students real work experience as they learn. Vos says a partnership was fostered between Central College, area high schools, and local businesses, in which students who will be IT apprentices this upcoming academic year will receive extensive training this summer.
