The #6 Indianola softball team wrapped up their undefeated 10-0 week on the road at the Davenport West Invite tournament Saturday, taking down Davenport Central 11-0 in fiving innings, Davenport North 8-5, and Davenport West 5-0.

Game one saw the Indians get ahead 6-0 in the first inning, getting RBI hits from Kylee Tucker and Brynn Ortlund as well as smart baserunning. The Indians added another in the second off of an error, and scored four more in the bottom of the fifth highlighted by a 3-run bomb by Kyra Robins to end the game. Lexi Ellis got the win in the circle.

Game two saw the Indians fall behind early 3-1, but scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take a lead they would not relinquish off of an RBI double from Destiny Lewis and a homerun from Tucker, then added another four runs in the next two innings from an RBI hit from Selia Becker and Tucker again, with Tucker also picking up the win in the circle.

The Indians continued their domination of the day in game three, with Kate Kralik pitching a two-hit shutout performance. The offense was quiet to start, with Indianola finally getting through in the fourth on an error, then blew the game open with home runs from Alley May and Destiny Lewis in the fifth, with May adding another RBI hit in the sixth, and Mara Bishop had an RBI single in the seventh.

The Indians improve to a state-high 18 wins on the season and sit at 18-3 overall. They next match up against county and conference rival Norwalk on Monday, which can be heard live on the KNIA3 stream on KNIAKRLS.com. Jon Mohwinkle has the call beginning at 6:45pm.
