Following a year of protocols and reaction to an economy in flux, the Pella Community Food Shelf is working back toward a sense of normalcy to assist families in the area in need.

Executive Director Melissa Zula says there have been plenty of hurdles to clear in getting supplies to their patrons, but at the same time, gave her and fellow volunteers a renewed sense of purpose, especially with many people suffering due to the pandemic. She’s thankful for the continued support the Pella Community Food Shelf has received as well, and knows they are in one of their busiest times of the year during summer break from school.

The Pella Food Shelf is open to serve from 8am-9am & 6:30pm-7:30pm every Tuesday at The Well on Oskaloosa Street in Pella. Learn how to contribute by clicking here.
