Pella Christian controlled their first matchup of three with Pella in the softball series 7-0, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS Monday night.

The Eagles scored in four of six innings offensively to keep pressure on a Lady Dutch team quieted by P.C. pitcher Alexa Dunsbergen, who went the distance in a four-hit shutout.

Natalie Harrill was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI doubles, Bailey Roose was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Emma Eekhoff hit her 3rd home run of the season. Pella’s Autumn Blink had a pair of hits of her own, and Ella Corbin pitched a complete game in the losing effort.

The Eagles improve to 10-7 overall and 3-6 in the Little Hawkeye Conference; they will next head to Indianola for a single varsity game, which can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA at 7:00 this evening. Pella falls to 2-16 and 0-9 in league competition, and steps outside of the conference to host Knoxville. Hear that contest tonight on 92.1 KRLS at 7:00 p.m.
