Indianola Parks and Rec featured local musician Andrew Hoyt at their first Tunes and Treats Concert of 2021 Tuesday afternoon inside the Indianola Activity Center. Hoyt tells KNIA News after a year without performing in front of a live audience, the concert was a wonderful experience.

“I felt like a carpenter without his tools. It was pretty full today too which I was really happy to see so many people out when we’ve been locked up with Covid and now that we are able to get out and about a lot more it was really great to see everybody and I’m sure they appreciated being out here too. It was just a positive atmosphere, it was great.”

Approximately 75 people attended the concert, which included covers and original music inspired by John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and James Taylor.
