The #6 in class 5A Indianola softball team swept Pella at home Wednesday evening, winning 9-1 in game one and 13-1 in game two in four innings.

In game one the Indians scored three runs in each of the first, second, and fourth innings highlighted by three RBI hits from Destiny Lewis, an Izzy Sloan single, and a Kylee Tucker home run while Kate Kralik got the complete game win in the circle striking out 12.

Game two saw Pella grab an early 1-0 lead in the first scoring on an error, but then saw Indiaonola score six runs in the first inning to take a lead they would not give up. Tucker hit an RBI single followed by a three-run bomb from Macie Mays, then added another three in the second with an RBI double from Lewis and another two-run shot from Mays to make it 9-1 after two. Indianola scored a pair of runs in each of the next two innings including another RBI hit from Tucker and a run on a passed ball to end it early.

Pella falls to 2-19 overall, and will next play Norwalk tomorrow at home. Indianola is now on a 14-game winning streak and are 22-3 overall, and don’t play again until Monday hosting a crucial matchup with Dallas Center-Grimes.
