The Knoxville VFW will host a Homecoming for VFW Department of Iowa Commander Michael Braman on Saturday, June 26th. Braman was elected to this position in early June, and will represent 126 VFW posts across the state over the next year. Braman says it will be an eventful evening.
“The VFW post here in Knoxville is going to throw me a welcome home or homecoming party for being the state commander. Jake Beaver and my wife put this together. We have some special guests coming. A representative from Chuck Grassley’s office will be there, and a representative from Joni Ernst’s office. It’s open to the public if anyone wants to come show their support for the VFW and to me. We’re starting at 5:00 on the 26th. We’ll have food, entertainment, it’ll be a good time.”
A meal will be served for a free-will donation, which runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with live music to follow. Find more information on this event here.
