The second half of the Little Hawkeye Conference baseball and softball schedules begin tonight as Norwalk travels to Pella for single varsity games.

In the baseball game, the Warriors (RV-4A) will look to avenge their only loss of the season, which was a 2-1 loss to Pella in a Norwalk no-hitter. Senior Brock Miller says his team needs a better offensive output this time around.

On the other side, the Dutch will look to get back into the top half of the Little Hawkeye Conference standings after losing three straight. The teams have split the last six meetings. Norwalk won 9-5 in the first meeting this season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Pella baseball field.

The #4 in 4A Norwalk softball team will look for its third straight win after falling to second in the standings with Monday’s loss to Indianola. The Warriors have dominated the series, winning 20 straight, with the last Pella win coming in 2012. The Dutch are still in search of their first conference win. Norwalk swept a doubleheader on June 2nd, 8-0 and 10-7.

The softball game will air on 92.1 KRLS with Jon Mohwinkle calling the action. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00.
