The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued an enhanced risk for severe weather this evening across South Central Iowa.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to form south of Interstate 80 later this evening, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Those storms are mainly expected to produce large hail, with the possibility of strong winds as well.
The storms will be generally spotty in nature, and can also produce a strong wind gust and brief downpour.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties.
