Melcher-Dallas’ softball squad avenged their early regular-season loss to Moravia by coming back and knocking off the Mohawks in convincing fashion 10-4.
The Saints’ broke their two-game losing streak thanks to standout performances at the plate from Haley Godfrey and BrieAnna Remster. Both players had three hits and three RBIs. Paetyn Anderson started the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning and Melcher-Dallas never looked back. Remster pitched a complete game, allowing four runs on five hits with five strikeouts. With the win, Melcher-Dallas improves their record to 17-6.
The Saints will resume play in the Orient-Macksburg tournament today going against Bluegrass Conference opponent Diagonal. First pitch will begin at 9:00 AM.
