Pleasantville’s softball squad will play their next weekend tournament today as they travel to North Mahaska.

The Trojans are coming off sweeping ACGC in a West Central Conference doubleheader Thursday night where they outscored the Chargers 18-4 in their two games. Pleasantville was led by stellar pitching from Faith Vanderhart and Carly Cox. The first game of the tournament will be against the host, while the second game will be against Twin Cedars, who is riding a seven-game winning streak. Coach Jan Haugen tells KNIA Sports that he is looking for his team to rise to the competition.

The first game of the tournament against North Mahaska will begin at 9:00 AM.
