The PCM Baseball team played two games on Saturday at the West Marshall tournament, winning their first game of the tournament against Lynnville-Sully 7-0, but dropping the second to West Marshall 8-4.

The Mustangs jumped out to an early lead against the Hawks, putting up three runs in the opening frame. It would remain a 3-0 game until the fourth when PCM would add another run before scoring their final three runs in the top of the seventh.

Game two got off to a rough start as West Marshall brought five runs across in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Mustangs would respond with two runs in both the second and third innings but couldn’t close the gap as the Trojans scored three more times to take the game.

With the tournament split, PCM now sits at 6-8 overall on the season. The PCM summer teams will host Greene County Monday night, with both games starting at 7:30 p.m.
