The Pella Opera House is hosting the return of its annual fundraising gala event this Saturday.
Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says the Summer Soiree will welcome guests to the Klokkenspel for cocktails and appetizers at 4:30 p.m. that evening. Dinner will follow at 6:30 on the 26th in the Pella Opera House. Following a live auction, participants will return to the Klokkenspel for dessert and music. Event Coordinator Jara Johnson says she’s excited to kick off a new season at the Pella Opera House after a year away from crowds, and the limited events held at Tulip Time helped restart that effort.
“We called it the great intermission, because it quieted everything,” she says. “As a performer and for the people who love these things, [the pandemic] quieted everything.”
