A Quilt of Valor ceremony was held Saturday at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, where around 30 local veterans were honored for their service. A crowd of approximately 250 people saw members of the organization award quilts as a way to thank the veterans. Many of Saturday’s honorees were Vietnam War era veterans.

The Quilt of Valor organization’s mission is to provide every veteran a quilt for their service.
