Becker said after the game even though the Mustangs had all the momentum going into the bottom of the seventh, the squad never lost faith in each other.

“Obviously we were struggling a little bit in the top of that seventh inning and we really just had to trust in the capability of our teammates and trust what we were capable of and push through that.”

The Indians have won 16 in a row to sit at 24-3 overall and 13-1 in conference play, and they will make the road trip to Grinnell tomorrow.

The Indians baseball squad scored four runs in the second inning to take control of game one against the Mustangs, as Connor Howard pitched a gem to pick up the win.
