Melcher-Dallas’ baseball squad got back in the win column Monday with a 4-2 victory over East Union.

The Saints’ baseball squad used a two-run fifth inning and a complete game from Owen Suntken on the mound to complete the victory. Six different players came away with hits in the game. The first runs were batted in by Cole Metz on a two-run single. Owen Mann had the only extra-base hit of the game, which was an RBI double in the first inning. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports that his team has to go back to basics to come away with victories.

The Saints will be back in action as part of a Bluegrass baseball/softball doubleheader with Mormon Trail today. The baseball game will begin at 5:30 PM.
