The City of Knoxville has been entered into the #IowansUnited Community Pride Contest with a video highlighting the city’s pride and businesses. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says the winning community will receive the gift of a mural.
“We have a community pride contest that the Iowa Economic Development Authority is putting on. It’s a video in support of our downtown and our small businesses. We have the link on our Facebook page, and we recommend people vote each day. It runs through June 30th, and is by popularity. If we win that, we would receive a mural from a renowned Iowa artist. We would love to have a mural welcoming people to our downtown.”
This is a contest held on Facebook, and people can vote once per day. Voting closes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30th. Click here to vote.
